Our organic chaga liquid extract is produced as a 100% dual extract from the fruiting body of the crooked Schiller pore (Inonotus obliquus) in our own Austrian organic production.
The extract combines water and alcohol extracts to make a wide range of the naturally occurring components of the fruiting body accessible.

Chaga (Inonotus obliquus) grows in the cold regions of the northern hemisphere, including Siberia, northern Europe, Canada, and parts of northern Asia. It is mainly found on birch trees, where it does not develop a classic mushroom cap, but an irregular, darkly pigmented, crust-like growth habit that is visually reminiscent of burnt wood.
In nature, chaga is mainly collected wild, as it is almost exclusively grown on living birch trees. Due to its slow growth and limited natural availability, careful, controlled and sustainable extraction is becoming increasingly important to ensure quality and purity in the long term.
Historically, chaga is anchored in the traditional uses of Northern and Eastern Europe as well as parts of Asia. Especially in Siberia, it has been prepared for centuries in the form of an infusion and integrated into everyday rituals.
